Who's Observing
I'm Sandro, a graphic designer and web developer based in Berlin. I love minimal, tech-focused interfaces and spend too much time thinking about how systems shape the way we think.
Monodust started as self-education. A way to force myself to actually understand what's happening in AI and machine intelligence, not just skim headlines. To study human-machine interaction not as a trend, but as a fundamental shift in how cognition works.
Why This Exists
The AI discourse is oversaturated with two extremes: hype cycles that chase every announcement and apocalyptic fear that refuses engagement. Neither helps you understand what's actually changing.
I wanted something between the noise.
Monodust documents the patterns I'm seeing. Where the boundary between human thought and machine processing becomes genuinely unclear.
What This Is
This isn't a news site. I don't cover every model release or feature update. I write when I have signal: when a development reveals something about how intelligence actually works, or when multiple updates form a pattern worth examining.
The format is deliberate. Every piece tries to hold two perspectives simultaneously: human perception and machine cognition. Not alternating between them, but embodying both at once. It's an experiment in what happens when you write with AI about AI, treating it as collaborator rather than subject.
Some pieces are analytical essays. Some are compressed two-line observations. Some are tool examinations that ask what interface design reveals about our assumptions. All of them try to respect your intelligence while offering something beyond surface-level takes.
Who This Is For
You, if you're curious about AI. If you want depth over hot takes. If you see technology as something that shapes cognition, not just productivity.
Monodust is for people who sense the shift already happening. Who want to understand it clearly, without hype or fear. Who believe that intelligence [whether human or machine] deserves close, careful observation.
The Long Game
I'm building Monodust as a living system that grows over time. A field study conducted in public.
It's a personal project driven by genuine curiosity, not content calendars. I publish when I have something worth saying, not because it's been two weeks. Quality of observation over consistency of output.
The site itself is part of the experiment: minimal, focused, built to embody the concepts it explores. Clean interfaces. Subtle interactions. Design that thinks about how we think.
